The verbal offer is in!

This is the back of the house....well, we went to see the house....it will be just fine...we liked it a lot.  It is clean and has a lot of possibility..  I love the over 1/2 acre lot...we would have so much fun with this lot planting all kinds of trees and bushes and perennials...The house has 3 nice size bedrooms upstairs... a really nice large kitchen , a full nice size formal dining room and a lower level laundry with the 1/2 bath which is really nice.  The only thing I dont like about it is there is only a living room ...no family room.  But someday ...if we really felt we needed to we could build off the side an addition of a family room.  The house has a walk up attic that is like 20 x20 which Tim will make into my art studio...very nice! Yea!!!! Nate, the owner of the house seemed to like our verbal offer and will talk to his wife and if she is cool with it....we will have it written up and signed...and we have a house!  I guess we would move in Jan 1.  What a nice way to start the new year....Please God, lets make this work.....The house is so clean and nice...we could move right in...just cosmetic changes...paint, adding crown molding etc...is all it needs! Fairly soon, we need to add a fireplace somewhere! The kitchen is very nice to remodel...quite easy...its nice already...just cosmetic mostly and a bit of work...but after awhile...when we have the money we will use the same cabinetry in the kitchen..(which is actually nice hickory cabinets) .just paint them white( Time hates to paint nice wood...but I really want painted white cabinets) and add marble counter tops and some kind of beautiful backsplash ...new  white sink ...it will be beautiful!  We will also add a large marble island with seats for 3 or 4.  They have a table there right now and chairs...so there is plenty of room for a nice island. I will find some nice chandeliers...one large one for the formal dining room and maybe one or two for the kitchen... New flooring is needed as well in a few areas..the kitchen, the dining room. Some areas the wood just needs refinishing- like the living room.  We will have to see what the floors are upstairs...they are probably wood that will need refinishing...they have carpeting all upstairs....not good...will have to go...the carpet is fine for now...but we hate carpeting....but its fine for now.....its clean and neutral and probably not that old...but with our pets....carpet is bad...plus we love the look of wood and tile..
This has been the most positive house experience yet so far...and so far looks the most promising.  Hopefully they will let us know before Wed night whether we can make this work or not before we go to Jamaica for a week.  I am very hopeful.....I think this will be a wonderful home for us.  I really do.  I feel so positive about it.  I am praying and praying. 
I am looking forward to Jamaica...boy we sure need a vacation...and my daughter is getting married...how bittersweet.  I cant believe I am that old...she is that old....life has gotten so full of such major changes....I am trying hard to roll with the flow...strange...my daughter is getting married......wow......So, I pray that we are able to get this home and I pray for a wonderful wedding for my daughter..and a wonderful vacation as well!  Its supposed to be cold here in Wisconsin ....so it will be fun to be beaching it...while home is cold! :)
